Write for us
Open Sports Bulletin welcomes pitches that make a sport easier to understand. We are interested in clear, self-contained explanations of rules, tactics, formats, equipment and the patterns a curious viewer can notice.
What to pitch
Propose an evergreen subject with a defined question and a useful answer. A strong idea might explain why a rule is shaped as it is, compare two tactical options, clarify a format or show what a piece of equipment is meant to do. We do not need match reports or broad claims that a sport is changing without a clear subject.
What makes a good proposal
Tell us the working title, the central question, the category it fits and the main points the reader would take away. Explain any specialist terms you plan to use and note the rules, competition or context your explanation concerns. Keep the pitch focused enough to stand as one article.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please include a short outline and any relevant writing samples you wish us to consider; do not send a complete article unless requested.
Understanding changes what you see
Knowing a rule or role gives each moment more context. Open Sports Bulletin makes those details clear without assuming you already speak the language of sport.
